Great write-up! I concur Branko's book is a must have! I love my M48, kicks like a mule but is nice and handy.

Just got my copy of Vol.2 and it's just as good as Vol.1. Forgotten Weapons described Vol.1 as a cross between coffee table book and history book, the same description fits the second volume. Just wanted to say hello from NE Florida. Been collecting for a couple years. My favorites are my No5 MkI, my M1917 (from Eddystone) and my 1898 Krag rifle. While I do not view it as a surplus I enjoy my AK-74 as well! I have recently gotten into CMP matches thanks to my collecting.
