Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Yep. I too have thought the same.

Re: Powder coating

I too have been powder coating my pistol loads for a little over a year now.
I have been able to push 9mm and .40 at FMJ velocities with no leading, and accuracy is pretty good.

Re: High Point 45 Cal Carbine

Only thing I don't like is it slaps your face a little when you shoot them so I taped foam to it and made a cheek rest. Gorilla tape hold everything lol I too have noticed that.. It doesn't bother me so much as it used to, but it does get annoying. Also, if you have a beard be aware the small gap i...

Re: Walmart says 21 to buy a long gun

I don't have a problem with it... After seeing some of the under 21 generation on tv lately I think maybe the voting age should be raised to 21 as well. I have a problem with it. Walmart, Dicks, etc. have sold out to the commies. Like Academy, and Cheaper than Dirt (CDT), I simply will not buy any ...

Re: Trump Moves to Ban Bump Stocks

Well.. here is my take. I did not like his general statement to "ban ALL devices that turn legal weapons into machine guns". A bump stock only allows the shooter to shoot the firearm faster with still one trigger pull at a time. It does not change it to full auto, and it does not improve accuracy.. ...

Re: Cast Bullets for Carcano

What type of powder are you going to use? For that (cast) bullet weight 30 grains of IMR 4350 is a nice accurate load. Also had some success with IMR 4895. 28.2 grains did ok. FYI, I never took these loads out further than 100 yards for accuracy. They grouped well at the 50 yards. I have since sold ...

Re: Need a 45 Long Colt rifle load

Looking at my notes: 16.4 grains of 2400 This was the most consistent out of my Marlin 1894 out at 50 yds. My hen scratch in my book shows I went up to 17.0, but show that the groups were not as tight. A good starting point with the lever actions is 16 grains of 2400. Then work your way up (2 tenths...

Re: .308 Ammo WARNING!

I almost bought some steel cased Russian ammo to try out my new C308 with. Well, I did and I have been using Tula, Monarch, and Wolf .308 over the past 2 years in my C308. Works great, no issues to date, and I can forget about picking up the disfigured cases. The only downfall with the steel cases ...

Re: Go target shooting after surgery?

I wouldn't. Buddy you had a hernia... which means your stomach lining was torn enough that your intestines were spilling out. With the recent surgery, the doctors cut you up even more just to fix you up. Wait the two weeks at least, before you think of looking at a rifle. When I had my hernia surger...
