Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: RUBY Won't Load

The gunsmith did a good job on the ejector and it shoots just fine now. My buddy had a load of modern pistols and liked the Ruby very much. Nice recoil, look and feel.

Re: WOW Just Simply WOW

The speaker never addressed the topic at hand and that is whether or not to host gun shows. The topic was posted a bit below the video in the description box. Great gun rights speech, but he missed the point entirely. I would guess the citizens want to stop the gun show loop hole. Unfortunately, I h...

Re: 1935A

Oh, if Numrich doesn't have a spring, I used McMaster and Carr, a manufacturing parts source, which I used for a model 1884 Mauser spring. I had to used three little ones to replace on big one though. After all the years in the rifle, it fell apart on one end.

Re: 1935A

Thanks for the info on the barrel. I feel better now.

I don't remember if I took the spring out or not. I wonder if Numrich's has them in stock.

Re: Two favorites from WW2

I've found that a M1917 kicks as bad as a M-44. I'm I wrong, of is my shoulder just falling apart over time?

Re: Two favorites from WW2

My Grandfather was a toolmaker on the Inland line here in Dayton, Ohio during WWII. He also made the molds for tank tracks. He often told me somebody got killed testing one. My 91/30 1943 Izzy ex-snoper has a superb action, especially after I put some Finish parts in it. Oh, to give up on them so so...

Re: 1935A

How deep is the rifling in your M1936A? Mine appears rather shallow. I recently made my own cases from 32 S&W long. It took some doing and tooling had to be made, but it worked. I went and got the C4HD dies myself. I found I had to seat the bullet deeper than expected, but it worked. Nice looking pi...

Re: 1884 cadet trapdoor

Yeah, no copper in the rifle. I've heard that myself. I shoot pure lead or a slight tin mix, nothing remotely hard.

Re: Walmart says 21 to buy a long gun

The founding fathers had ZERO idea people could walk down the street with the firepower of cannons in their hands. Lugging a mortar in one's hand back then would have been difficult, if not impossible. The other weapons mentioned were crew served or had to be hauled by farm animals. Privateers were ...

Re: Walmart says 21 to buy a long gun

As far as the founders are concerned, they had no idea somebody could posses a hand held weapon that would be roughly as lethal as a cannon loaded with canister. Not exactly a 12 pounder, but a 2-3 pounder at close range would put a squad in a world of hurt. During their life times, firearms were si...

Re: Walmart says 21 to buy a long gun

The NRA has begun a Constitutional review of Florida's new law. I wonder if they challenged in other states, if so, I don't think they were successful in their efforts. This is the process of democracy though. The Heller ruling does still allow for gun control. People still have the right to own gun...

BTW, you were professionally trained, supervised and not allowed to fire those weapons at combatants unless given orders under the rules of engagement. These kids, not so much. Their parents, likely not so much either.

Re: Walmart says 21 to buy a long gun

Yet they are denied beer in Ohio. Florida just raised the legal age to buy guns to 21 today. Other states have similar laws. The states have their rights too as per the Constitution. Most people don't have a problem with it, in fact support it. I haven't seen the other states' laws come under judici...

Re: Walmart says 21 to buy a long gun

I think they are finding the mass shooters aren't exactly mentally ill sadly enough. I've read a few things indicating the majority of mass shooters have not been diagnosed as mentally ill, only something like 20%. I really don't blame stores that sell a variety of goods besides guns to limit them t...

Re: Walmart says 21 to buy a long gun

This is from the Detroit Free Press today or yesterday and has the only expert advise on the case from what I've searched around for. The plaintiff is also seeking unspecified damages. There has been no response from the NRA on this from what I've seen. This is perhaps ground not worth fighting over...
