Custom Krag stock work?

As many here know I own a sporterized(barrel shortened Redfield 102K aperture sight added etc.) 1898 Krag that I've recently purchased a stock that I would like to have fitted to me and my rifle. My go to stock maker has recently passed away and now I need these services. I know whenever I'd take on...

Re: 8mm Nambu rim trim

Don't mean to hi-jack this thread but, didn't someone post a brass conversion from .357 Sig, here? Is that rim thinner?

Re: Newbie K31

Looks far better than mine. Mine has several boot cleat marks on the stock from knockking snow off boots(I was told), no tag in my stock either. Have fun with this.

Re: Would or does a model 43 Spanish Mauser have a "J" .218"or "JS"

Thanks, that helps. Appreciate all the help. I didn't want to start reloading and have to buy other supplies. Just recently bought a 7.92x57 mm and a 7.7 Jap trim dies and sized some 30.06 cases to make up some of both. Suppose I could slug my bore but, seems like another chore?

I used to get replies to threads I posted on, on the old forum? Now I don't??? Has to be some setting, somewhere.
I apologize if this is in the wrong forum.

Re: 1903 A3 Bayonet Lug

Mine appears to be part of the front band, maybe tig welded or perhaps buy another front band with bay lug? As long as the bayonet blade isn't going to interfere with the bullets flight I wouldn't worry about alignment?
