Mine did the same and I took some Simple Green and soak it then a plastic hammer for persuasion. gently? Still pretty hard going.

The rifle is a Type I . It has the type I rear sight .As stated , look for the stripper clip guide . It will be in 6.5 Arisaka . A chamber cast will be a waste of time as the 6.5 Jap is so close to a 6.5 Carcano it will chamber and fire in the Carcano . I went ahead and cast this chamber. It is a 5...

Type I. I've cast my chamber and it's too long (50mm)it's closer to the 6.5 Mannlicher Schonauer length of 54MM and no rim shows?

Thank you, butcharoot, I managed to pickup a couple of the parts I needed for this rifle through the link you provided me. The Type 38 magazine assembly may fit, I have not verified this. Update: I've managed to find some of the parts I need for this rifle but, still looking to find a handguard, rear sling swivel with screws both bands and rear band spring?
