Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: 50 yard Postal Shoot Oct-Nov

A great day to be shooting. 7 degrees F. Light winds from left to right. Fresh snow and I was the first to break trai out therel. The rifle was an all matching Izhevsk 1940 91/30 Finn captured. I was aiming a bit high but it grouped very nicely. I think it felt at home in the snow. jeff Feb1940.jpg ...

I ended up selling it locally. With safety precautions of course.

Re: 50 yard Postal Shoot Oct-Nov

Temperatures were up a little but still plenty of wind. I fired my Czech 98/22 with some surplus ammo that I am not sure where it was made. Only had 15 rounds. The 98/22 sure is a fine rifle.

Thanks for the replies. It looks like clean stuff so I will give it a try. Safely of course.

1953 Yugo 8mm.

I just opened up this tin that I had purchased back in Feb 2007 for $70. It was a large show at the KCI expo and I had to carry this and a crate Albanian LB 7.62x54r a loooong way to the car. Has anyone had any experiences good or bad with the Factory 12 1953?

Re: 50 yard Postal Shoot Oct-Nov

It was the 1927 Tula 91/30's turn this week. 4 degrees with a windchill in the -20's. The wind was brutal and I should of worn a balaclava...my nose got quite cold.

This was what we had on New Years Day. Almost minus 20. Today it finally reached 32.

Re: 50 yard Postal Shoot Oct-Nov

I took my 1927 Izhevsk 91/30. It has been a dozen years or so since I last shot it. I tried another batch of Hungarian LB and did not experience any click-bangs. Cold but not nearly as windy as the other day.

Re: 100 yard Sniper Oct-Nov

I tried some Hungarian LB on this day and about 90% of the rounds were click-bang. With the fact that I tend to flinch a lot anyway and coupled with the click-bangs I am sure a video of me shooting would have been hilarious. Very cold windy day on an empty range. Just the way I like it. jeff Jan3201...

Re: 100 yard Sniper Oct-Nov

I made 2 trips to the range this week during our cold snap. This time I had 10 rounds to fire at the target. :D Temps have been below zero for several days with the low being a brisk minus 20. Today got up to 10F.

Re: 100 yard Sniper Oct-Nov

While I was shooting the Swiss I brought the 43 Tula ex-sniper as well. Polish Lightball works pretty darn well.
