Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: 50 yard Postal Shoot Oct-Nov

It was the 1927 Tula 91/30's turn this week. 4 degrees with a windchill in the -20's. The wind was brutal and I should of worn a balaclava...my nose got quite cold.

Re: Cold enuff for you?

This was what we had on New Years Day. Almost minus 20. Today it finally reached 32.

Re: 50 yard Postal Shoot Oct-Nov

I took my 1927 Izhevsk 91/30. It has been a dozen years or so since I last shot it. I tried another batch of Hungarian LB and did not experience any click-bangs. Cold but not nearly as windy as the other day.

Re: 100 yard Sniper Oct-Nov

I tried some Hungarian LB on this day and about 90% of the rounds were click-bang. With the fact that I tend to flinch a lot anyway and coupled with the click-bangs I am sure a video of me shooting would have been hilarious. Very cold windy day on an empty range. Just the way I like it. jeff Jan3201...

Re: 100 yard Sniper Oct-Nov

I made 2 trips to the range this week during our cold snap. This time I had 10 rounds to fire at the target. :D Temps have been below zero for several days with the low being a brisk minus 20. Today got up to 10F.

Re: 100 yard Sniper Oct-Nov

While I was shooting the Swiss I brought the 43 Tula ex-sniper as well. Polish Lightball works pretty darn well.

Re: 100 yard Sniper Oct-Nov

I finally got a chance to get to the range without all the hunters sighting in their deer slug guns. 32 degrees and a strong NE wind. Snow could be on the way. I fired some handloads and after getting the scope somewhat dialed in I shot a target. Problem was I only had 8 rounds left. This rifle is r...

Re: Mad Minute.

That is correct Rapidrob. 100 yards max and no rapid fire at the public range I shoot at.

Re: Winter .22 Postal Contest.

Second attempt with the Winchester. Really strong crosswinds at my shooting position but much calmer at the target stand. I really like this rifle! Old Sarge...I will try to find some Big 45 cleaner. The rust is coming back already. That is a great target you shot BTW. Feel free to lay the current t...

Re: Link for SRF Target 2014 please.

I have updated the target link in the .22 Winter competition post. If that doesn't work for you just use the target links in either the 50 yard or 100 yard contest. Hope this helps.

Re: Winter .22 Postal Contest.

This is a recently acquired Winchester Model 69a. I added a Weaver K6 scope with a post reticle. It spent most of its life in a barn or garage. There was not much finish left on the stock and the metal has quite a bit of surface rust. I found some Winchester stain and did a novice refinish. The meta...

Winter .22 Postal Contest.

I thought a .22 rifle contest might bring in some more shooters. Depending on submitted entries this may run until spring. Any .22 rifle is fine. There are 3 categories. Scoped at 25 and 50 yards. Open/peep at 25 yards. You may use the same rifle every week. 1. .22 Rifles. 2. Any sights. 3. 25 and 5...

Re: 100 yard Sniper Oct-Nov

I picked up a nice Swiss 1911 a few weeks ago locally. Love those Swiss rifles! I was shooting Prvi Soft Points from a forearm rest with iron sights. I am going to try and find a taller front sight as she shoots pretty high or install my Swiss Products scope mount from my 96/11. jeff Oct1911.jpg

Here is my August submission. I was just happy all ten shots hit the paper albeit only 9 counted. More practice needed!
