Thanks DaleH... if yours is anything like mine, that I bought years and years ago, just wait until you try to put the trigger group back in after taking it out to clean all the cosmoline out of it. fun times are to be had :D I will tell you this, take the bolt completely apart and clean the snot out...

I think the Russian's got paid by how many markings they could on the receiver. Yep they are great rifles, now if you want too talk recoil try the M-95 Steyr that thing has on hell of a kick too... :lol:

The date on the barrel is 1944 and it looks like the date on your receiver is 1934 and that not a crescent moon its an O I have the same mark om my M39...
