Re: Greek Mannlicher 1903/14

I'm wrapped with it.
They are very well made and the action is very smooth.
The metal work under the timber was almost flawless.

It has become one of my favourites in my collection.

and its design is different from most

Old Posts on Electrolysis

On the old forum there were a number of posts on how to do electrolysis on rusted parts which I thought were very informative.

Does anyone have any copies of these old posts and would they mind reposting back on here.

Cheers :text-thankyouyellow:

Re: Greek Mannlicher 1903/14

Hi Rapidrob The bore is better than I thought it would be. Rifling is good maybe 6/10 grooves are a little dark though The barrel was filled with grease. Ran a couple of patches through to check the rifling. Its a little dirty but should clean up ok. Hopefully shoot the rest of the gunk out. Loading...

Re: Greek Mannlicher 1903/14

What was a surprise was finding a letter under the butt plate. I'm in the process of getting it interpreted but so far its from the Greek Red Cross telling the man he has a package waiting for him. The letter has his name, rank, his unit and place where he was stationed. Its also dated 1938. No big ...

Re: Greek Mannlicher 1903/14

The most prominent feature of these rifles is the rotary magazine.
These rifles are the only bolt action rifle adopted by any nation with this feature.
Seen as being a complicated design, it was only adopted by Greece.
