Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Why are guys going crazy over 300 black out

One of the main attractions of the .300 Blackout is that it's one of the best choices for silencers (using sub-sonic loads of course) rather than resorting to pistol cartridges. As I understand it, thats what it was originally designed for. Stopping power at close ranges, low report designed for Mi...

Re: Bayonet Question

Non combatants such as musicians etc in some instances had dress bayonets which had the Bayonet lug slot filled with timber so it cannot be mistaken for a combat bayonet.
This is a Swiss 1918 version

Re: Picked this up. Thoughts?

Nice pickup

Not a fan of the finish of the stock
Remove the finish and oil her up.
When you pull the furniture apart you should see the original colour.
I wouldnt worry about staining it, it should come up nice with the oil
on its own.

my 5 cents

Re: What machine guns did the Germans use during Operation Pastorius ?

Darwin which is in the north of Australia was bombed several times during the war. Was a main naval base during the period.

Other bombing attacks were spread across the top end from Broome in Western Australia to Townsville in Queensland.

Re: What machine guns did the Germans use during Operation Pastorius ?

Thanks for posting this part of history. I have never heard of this incident of WW2 history. Reminded me of the midget submarine attacks in Sydney Harbour. Two destroyed and one managed to get away. Only found recently buried in the Sand up in a river mouth up the coast of Nsw. http://www.naa.gov.au...
