Looks like it's in decent shape. Though not rare, many were turned into hunting rifles by cutting the barrel and stock down so it's nice to see a Krag in military configuration. Yours was made too late to have seen service in the Spanish American War but might have seen action in the Philippine Insu...

While I agree that this is a dick move, it says right in the listing "NYC, NJ AND HAWAII DO NOT BID" Unless they edited the listing to add that after you bid, I suppose that they have the right to refuse to honor your bid. Might have come down to what side of the bed they got up from in the morning.

My standard 30-06 load for all of my milsurps is currently 49.5 grains of Varget, a 168gn SMK and a Winchester LR primer.

Looks like lots of people who buy Garands from RIA never heard of the CMP. They're paying nearly 3x more than they have to.

I have a Mk II and a Mk IV and use bullets cast with the RCBS Mold #57923. The bullets drop at .468 and weigh around 500gns.
