Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: New to Me M39

Very nice indeed!! I just love the "B" barrels. While it looks awesome now, just wait until you put some of Tom's Pine Tar mix on it. They were made for each other.

Re: I can't believe this Calf law

All I can say to my neighbors in CA is to remember the last half of the old water conservation saying when you're at the voting booth - "...If it's Brown, flush it down!"

Re: Thompson M1A1 from my collection

SBR = Short Barreled Rifle One of our ridiculous U.S. guns laws requires that "normal" rifles have a barrel length of 16 inches or greater. If you want to have an SBR, you have to first get approval from the government by filling out forms and paying a one-time tax stamp to get it registered. A lot ...

Very nice. Works for me too!! :handgestures-thumbup: The MP40 and the Luger are certainly on the list of the world's most iconic firearms.

Thanks for continuing to share your collection with us.

Congrats - nice looking revolver. The slower loading process of BP shooting gets you more invested in each round you fire. Love the grease, smoke, and smell - everyone should try BP shooting.

Oh heck yes - This section on has a little over two pages of posts - Just review the "How to ..." post titles and see which ones apply to your situation. Many of Candyman's best posts are there (many thanks to Zeliard) so look them over and don't be afraid to tackle the job. With a little knowledge ...

Re: Previous member

Welcome back to SRF - what type of milsurps do you like to collect and shoot? I just go for whatever interests me (greatly limited by budget of course) and what's available. So much has simply dried up in the last 10-20 years.

Re: Aguila Super Extra .22 LR ammunition review

Congrats on the win and thanks for the heads-up on the ammo. I bought some last year just to stock up but haven't tried it yet. Several of my semi-auto pistols are quite picky about what they like so I try to keep a variety on hand.

Re: CMP 1911 Sales

As badly as I'd like to get one - I agree that spending $850/$950/$1050 (Rack/Field/Service) for one is more than I wanted to spend. Plus the process is somewhat onerous.
