Re: 8mm Carcano

" Who's headspace gauge did you use? Ours or theirs? If you use ours ( SAAMI) you took an improper reading and got false results." It was a SSAMI gauge. It appears a gauge made to CIP specs is considered a wildcat. That 7.92 Carcano had a pristine bore. Butch

I found one only marked 7.92, no s stamp on the bolt. Unfortunately it failed a Field headspace gauge test. Butch

Looking for reload data for my new 1892 Berthier Carbine. I have Lee data, but the consensus is it is to slow. Looking for safe data with no issues. Thanks, Butch

Carcano M41 HandGuard

I have an M41 Carcano hand guard that is missing the wood between the rear band and the front. I bought a 10" piece of front butt stock section from a Carcano to try and repair it with. It appears to me the easiest way to fix it would be to shape the missing part that the rear band wraps around and ...

Terrible M41 Trigger

My new M41 has a terrible trigger compared to my other Carcano. It is mushy, it doesn't feel like a 2 stage trigger. Any ideas on what to look for? Thanks, Butch

Linking To Another Forum?

I have a link to a forum post about Lee making a run of 7.65 French Long dies. Is it permissible to post it? I looked thru the rules but did not see anything about posting. Thanks, Butch
