Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Alvin C York dissertation, battlefield archaeology

I'm glad you posted this, I just started reading Alvin York by Douglas Mastriano. I've been told I'm related, in some way, Sergeant York. My mother's side is from the York family in southeastern Tennessee, but I'm still trying to confirm whether or not, I'm related to Alvin York from Pall Mall.

Re: My grandfather

I will get more photo's of his uniform when I get to it. I did find it when looking around for paperwork after he passed. He was born in 1920 and my grandmother in 1918. Married to each other for so long, I can't remember how long they were married. Which means they lived how we were designed to, or...

My grandfather

My grandfather passed away in February of 2018, and I feel it’s time to honor him on here. I learned more about him after his death. I didn’t know he was in the army and he never spoke of it. I’m still learning more about his time in the service. I found his uniform and a picture of him during his t...

Re: I finally have a CZ-75

I have owned several CZ's in the past. The 75, VZ58, 75 compact, 550 full stock and hopefully more in the future. My 75 was a 2009 model, if I remember correctly, but I sold it. Awesome pistol, so I ended up with the compact 75 and I love it. I just found it easier to carry the compact concealed. En...

Re: Why did Yugoslavia shorten the German k98 stocks on the front end?

I will start off by saying, I'm sorry to hear about what was done to your stock and I can't understand why someone would do that, but that's just how it is sometimes. As far as the Yugo stocks being trimmed back 1/2", I've heard the re-barreled Yugo's were 1/2" shorter causing them to shorten the 98...

Re: start of gun show season

I would like to see some good gun shows around my area, although it's been awhile since I've been to one, most around here are just littered with junk and way overpriced items, just like BCR#1 said. I see we are in the same area too, BCR.

Re: New, from Oklahoma

Welcome, Lets us know more about your Yugo rifle, we are always glad to see what's out and about. I too have a couple of Yugo's, M48 and Mod 98, which can be seen in the Yugo section. One thing I've noticed about the 98K German rifles is that prices are all over the place. I've seen some sell for hi...

Re: yugo shooting high

So, I finally got my Swedish 7mm front sight and installed it. went to the range and only had tie for 5 rounds at 25 and 5 at 50. both shot POA!! There was no change in elevation like there was with original sight. WTH! Don't understand why there would be same POI at 25 and 50 with new front sight,...

Have you checked the post height with calipers? If so, what were the readings?

Re: Yugo Mod 98 refurb for your enjoyment.

It's not a 1.TRZ stamped rifle. The stock is Yugo made and stamped with the TRZ stamp, unless there's something I don't know about the 1.TRZ rifles, which there's a lot I don't know about those other than they are rare.

Re: Military Surplus k98ks commonly found at gun shows

There needs to be a book for all of these! I know there are books that cover many of the 98k and Mausers but I would like to see one like this post. I have several on the Mauser rifle and the Yugo, but I could only imagine learning more about the ones that aren't talked about as much as the German M...
