Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Schmidt-Rubin 96/11

I just shot mine at a military rifle match. In the prone, I shot a 93-2X, no support or sling.

Let’s not talk about the other positions or rapid fire.

Re: So you want to un-bubba a Model 1917. A parts list.

Actually, I found that soon after posting. A really neat mod, and one that I’m surprised didn’t find widespread acceptance.

If I see a bubba’d and cut M1917, I wouldn’t mind doing one of these, assuming I could find a willing machinist for a good price.

Re: So you want to un-bubba a Model 1917. A parts list.

Got a pic of the cutdown version? I didn’t know that was done. If you search for “M1917 Tanker,” you can find a neat idea made by a guy on ARFCOM. Completely imaginary, but it looks good. My unBubba will be completes once my handguards get here, and the front sight spline that Bubba removes for abso...

Neat. They obviously got around.

This M1917 (almost done unBubbaing) has a fantastic trigger pull. Like comparable to my Swiss rifles.

Re: Gun Shows: When Did Our World Go Nuts?

Can we create an index based off the market price of a Mosin-Nagant, inflation, and the price dealers are asking for said Mosin at the gun show?

ie, this gun show was awful, it was a 2.3 on the M91 index.

Re: M1911 not firing when the hammer drops.

Is the firing pin safety plunger free to move?

(Assuming that version has one)

Forgotten Weapons has a good episode on the Ross and incorrect bolt assembly.

Re: start of gun show season

This year I got a British M1907 bayonet for an Enfield I had for awhile, and a Ross bayonet. $100 total spent, no sheaths though.

So now I’m going to need to find a Ross.

Re: m 1917 eddystone

I just got a Remington M1917, sans stock. I love the M1917, I wonder what it would have been like with some equivalent upgrades like the 1903 got.

Aha. I seem to remember it being something like that before, too.

I even recall when SurplusRifle almost went under the first time. I bought the CDs with all the info on them.

Now to find a device with a CD-ROM...
