Re: M44 Tula 1944

While I am not sure of the value either, in today's market, I'd pay you 500 to 700-ish for'em. My first Mosin Nagant cost me $89 dollars. I paid $1,200 for a Finnish M28-30 last year. The range is vast.

Re: Yugo M67 Sealed Crate Value

Yeah, that is too low. I would buy it for $450 in today's market IF I just had to have surplus. Otherwise, I would just buy new.

Re: Russian SKS value?

I am not sure what the "official value" is per the various collector books out there; but the prices at my local gun shows are $800-$1,000 dollars.

Need a ‘pinch’ ... but have to buy a quart ...

Looks mint though!
Haha, yes, a quart was the smallest size I could find locally. Some things are just worth it though 👍

Re: Minty Finnish M39 going rates?

I took this screenshot back in July of 2020 from Collector's Firearms' website. Collector's Firearms a very famous and respectable super store here in the Houston, area. This place is huge with a massive museum-like inventory. I checked their website again, just now, and this M39 already sold. Depe...

Re: Minty Finnish M39 going rates?

I purchased my M39 last year, in 2019, for $600. It is a 1942 VKT. I have also been lucky enough to collect the rifle's correct bayonet models. A Hackman & Co. M1935 Army, and the rare M1939 Civil Guard Issue. The M1939 bayonet cost me $500 dollars alone but it was a beautiful example obtained from ...

Cleaning Up Some Chu Wood

So my most recent aquisition is a 1955.2 Chinese T53 Mosin Nagant Carbine. The poor thing looks like it was dragged behind a truck all the way from Vietnam. I do not want to replace the stock but I have already started the cleaning process. I used 0000 steel wool and mineral spirits to turn the dark...

Re: Carcano Bolt Will Not Disassemble

I have taken apart three Carcano bolts but the latest is causing issues. I can’t get the threaded nut off. Bolt works great and I have even shot it this past a Friday. However I did want to take everything apart. Any ideas or leave it be? I'm a very stubborn personality and have even been known to ...

Re: mosinnagant.net website gone?

Thank you for refencing the wayback machine alternative. I especially enjoyed the www.mosin-nagant.net website and its list of various Mosin Nagant slings. I can not seem to find that particular sling listing on the wayback copy. I sure hope this website comes back one day. I agree with you when it ...

Re: Chinese T53 Stock Engraving - UPDATE!

I can make out a possible "F.K.U..." After careful review and assistance from local collector's in my area, we determined the engraving says "FK U CIA." This development is incredibly interesting and suggest connections to the Vietnam War. Still working on establishing more provenance. Thanks every...

Chinese T53 Stock Engraving - UPDATE!

Just picked this rifle up for $138. Any idea what letters or numbers may be engraved into the wood? I can make out a possible "F.K.U..." But the rest is illegible to me.
