Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Poke Holes in my Logic - I want to submit this to my Rep for possible legislative fix.

I'm sorry for saying this but you sound like you're from Jersey. They either have the info to approve or deny, or they don't. If they don't, it is a failure of some bureaucracy to follow required procedures or laws. Type of weapon or ammo count is meaningless. A slower course of fire to an experienc...

Re: Real PU scope or fake?

SVT scopes used on Mosin's had different turret markings. The original unmodified SVT scopes had a non uniform spacing between especially between 0 and 300 yards. The ones converted for the Mosin's snipers have a very uniform spacing between 0 to 300 yards to reflect the cam replacement for tine MN ...

Re: Real PU scope or fake?

Yea, flat screws are a big giveaway. One of the reproducers started putting serial numbers on scopes along with mostly progress arsenal marks. I think in 42 the serial numbers had either the a or b prefix (or what kinda looks like an a or b). The simulated wear on the scope body doesn't seem to matc...

Re: Spanish FR8 ?

I think the sight post is the same as the cetme sight. Maybe someone can verify this.

If they're the same, shop at apex.

Re: Semi Auto Sten.

It's posted. Do allot of reading on how others have been built and decide on how you want to build it before starting. This one was not done in the normal way.

Re: Sten Mk III

I think I got everything in the build. It's been a few years since I did this kit.
Here's my version of a stretched sten.

Re: Sten Mk III

The trigger group needed to be connected to the original trigger. I did this with a linkage between the two. When you need to do machine work to an AR trigger, it is extremely hard. It will need to be softened before you should attempt to cut or drill. Heating with a torch will do this for you. Do a...

Re: Sten Mk III

Now I had to mod the bolt. It was drilled for the AR firing pin sleeve and the sleeve inserted and pinned. A groove had to be cut to allow the bolt to ride over the denial pin. Since the hammer path would go through the area where the buffer spring rides, a new seat had to be made. I used a short le...

Re: Sten Mk III

100_1396.JPG 100_1397.JPG Since I stretched the tube out to the end of the barrel, I wanted to stretch the trigger guard. I also wanted to use the original trigger group but wanted a more reliable trigger. The way I did this was to place an AR trigger group in the guard extension and linkage it to ...

Re: Sten Mk III

Continued on adding the deflector, riveting trunnions and I drilled decorative cooling holes in the tube. Looks good and also shaves some weight off of the gun. You can see the amount of barrel I decided to extend past the end of the tube. 100_1390.JPG 100_1391.JPG 100_1392.JPG Time to move on to th...

Re: Sten Mk III

Trigger group is all cleaned up. The barrel is welded to the trunnion and extension. Welds coulda been better but it won't be seen. I used a freeze plug of the appropriate size as a new front trunnion to go at the end of the tube. The assemblt is slid into place in the tube and drilled and riveted i...

Re: Sten Mk III

100_1375.JPG 100_1374.JPG All this had to be de-milled or cleaned up so the parts could be used. I found and printed a template for the tube. I got the 9mm pistol barrel from a vendorand added an extension tube to it to meet required length. CThe barrel was welded to the front trunnion than the tub...
