Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: SOG Southern Ohio Guns is history

I picked up a pair of their $420 Garands some years back, just got them re barreled, changed the stocks and the springs are right after the park job. Sorry to see them go.

Re: Railroad snow plow crash

Ouch, I would hate to be on the re rail team as well. Winter operations are always sketchy, that far north must be a nightmare. I used to love winter, until I became a trainmaster.

Re: Sporterized 1903 Found Locally. Help Me Decide...

300 is a good price, I had a hard time finding a serviceable reciever under 300. If you have the tools and skills to change out the barrel, it may be a good candidate for a 03A4 clone.

Re: Romanina Romak II AK-74

The sar 2 sells on the files between 600 and 700. This one is a post ban version that has been "refanged". I would expect it to move in the same margin.

Re: Garand vs. M14

Another variable here is barrel temp. Dumping 8 rounds out and reloading vs 20 to 30 rounds is going to broaden the grouping quite a bit.

I wouldn't mind picking one of these up, just to see how they are engineered and how they shoot.

Re: Yugo M48 with a little art work.

I have a Romanian AK kit with "Tuga" carved into the hand guards. Bosnian trench art, meaning the pain of loss. Still haven't built that one up yet. It was intended for a Bosnian friend, but cancer got him and I haven't touched it in a while. I'll get to it soon, just got the receiver for it.
