Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

I can't positively say that's the issue but I'd give it a shot. Any connections still on parts? Thanks.
There are guys selling Hakim parts on eBay. The Rashid hammer spring is different but send those sellers a message..they may have your part.

Re: Failure to fires with Rasheed rifle

I have seen several Hakim's and Rashids in need of a new hammer spring (same part?) for reliable ignition.

I received a lot of Century's spare parts and hammer springs sold out first.

Re: Brazilian 1908 non matching Long rifle.

One of my best shooting Milsurps is a Brazilian 1908. The bore is not "mint" by any definition, but it shoot FN 1970 surplus ball so well that it always goes with me to NM Milsurps 800yard match. Great rifles!

Re: Attempting to clone GP11 in my K31

Understand that all the milsurp rounds and rifles developed around 1900 have maximum operating pressures (45-50,000psi) that are WAY below what you have when you see "pressure signs" (60,000+ psi).

Re: Attempting to clone GP11 in my K31

The Nosler 175gr RDF .308" bullet is a good candidate for your GP11 clone work up. It has a slender ogive which allows seating further out than many bullets. Shotersproshop.com sometimes has "over-runs" for around 20cents/ea. A great price for match bullets there. All I see currently are the Nosler...

Re: 7mm Mauser ammo info request

All reports on that particular batch of 7mm have been poor. Not all ammo of that vintage is crappy. My daughter's boyfriend just shot our NM Milsurp match with 1939 mfg Kynoch 7x57 ball ammo. 43 rounds fired without a hangfire or other issue. He did well and had much fun. Quality of mfg, packaging, ...

Re: powder for 7.5 swiss and 30-06

I find IMR 4064 suitable for all the milsurp battle rifle cartridges. It is a very good powder in 30-06. In many of my 7.5x55 loads too.

Re: GEW 98 long rifle at 500 and 800 yards*

Have you run that load over the chrono ? That is a really hot load . R-15 is close to I-4064 . With 4064 48 grains is hot and 50 is max with a 150 bullet . R-15 's own data lists 48.0 - 50.0 for the 150 and only 44.0 as max for a 200 . It is hard or impossible to duplicate 8mm military velocity wit...

Since your brass is uniform in length: Your 30-06 RCBS seating die can be adjusted to seat AND crimp. As you discovered lee factory crimp does crimp when she'll holder contacts the die bottom (sliding collet).

Re: A M1911 rifle, reloads and my wife....

Hi - I have never done anything like this but it sounds interesting. Off hand I would never even think of being able to do this. Especially if it was one second max per shot. Heck, I'd feel lucky for a 24 inch group. Really, can someone tell me the ground rules for something like this? I could try ...

Let us know the match details....it is going to take a lot of dedicated practice to beat that 'ringer' you have filling your place on the firing line. ;-)

Rob: Was that high velocity "HP" you were shooting? I thought they were solid 40gr.

Sure did shoot good!
