Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: 8x52R Siamese with surplus powder & heavy bullet

Failed to buy 7383 when it was cheap and available. But--have a friend who has a lot of it, and has offered to supply me. Really appreciate Rob's info on this powder--want to try it in several milsurps--

Good for you! I also occasionally carry a family Colt 1903 for the same reason--and do not feel ill-armed!

Re: 80 years old german mauser hunts

Not an American tradition, but after two tours of duty in the Federal Republic I became aware of the act. I personally think it is a
honorable recognition of the bond between hunter and prey.

Re: Faux Swedish M41B sniper rifle

Looks good! I often wonder why more CMP sniper competitors do not use Swede 96s. Seems to me that the combo of the accurate M96/6.5 cartridge and ability to use the older Weaver K4 are an affordable alternative to 03s and 03A4s.
Good luck at the match, and congrats on scoring a real M41B---

Re: STAR Model 30M

The 30M is a great gun--built like a tank and well made.
Truth in Advertising--- I'm a fan of Spanish steel, especially Star and Astra. Sad day when they went out of business--
Enjoy your new pistol!

What a neat looking rifle! That is thinking outside the box---I really enjoy seeing "mods" that retain a military appearance/flavor.

Re: Greek Army Colt Army Special

Been a fan of the mid-frame Colts since I carried one (Colt .357) as a patrolman in Tennessee--great actions--same as Python--and great guns.
Always kind of wanted one in .41 Colt, but not being a handloader never took the plunge.

Great find on an Army Special that actually went to an army!!

Re: Got a nice model 94 (post 64) at the show and making plans

Congratulations on a great rifle. Got my first deer many years ago with a post-64 M94. Do give the scope to your friend --the Marlin wears a scope better than a M94. Your Win. will look great with a "peep" sight. Good luck this fall on your hunt.

Re: BLMW

Interesting--did u see any improvement in accuracy/consistency of groups??
I often wondered if lapping a milsurp bbl (esp. one with pittting/corrosion) was worth the effort, or was just cosmetic.

Re: Garand with muzzle brake

A problem that, IMO, is worse: semi-auto shooters (esp. AR shooters) that happily let their ejected empties hit the shooter next to them. Why they don't invest the few $$ for a brass catcher on a public range eludes me--
