Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Got a nice model 94 (post 64) at the show and making plans

Congratulations on a great rifle. Got my first deer many years ago with a post-64 M94. Do give the scope to your friend --the Marlin wears a scope better than a M94. Your Win. will look great with a "peep" sight. Good luck this fall on your hunt.

Re: BLMW

Interesting--did u see any improvement in accuracy/consistency of groups??
I often wondered if lapping a milsurp bbl (esp. one with pittting/corrosion) was worth the effort, or was just cosmetic.

Re: Garand with muzzle brake

A problem that, IMO, is worse: semi-auto shooters (esp. AR shooters) that happily let their ejected empties hit the shooter next to them. Why they don't invest the few $$ for a brass catcher on a public range eludes me--

Re: Icebreaker

Glad to have u here---don't worry about what "others" may say about your stock mods. Not only is this a very friendly forum, the unspoken motto has always been: "Your gun--your decision". Yes, Jamie et al did a great job! I really enjoyed their articles on "how to" fix/mod and play with our milsurps--

Re: M88/05/34 ?

slowbob is right on the money--IMHO these are underpriced for the great shooters they usually are. All I have seen have very nice shiny bores, and that lovely smooth action. Just stay away from hot ammo (such as Turk surplus) and all will be well. You will have no problem with American Commercial am...

Re: R. Lee Ermey

When he was at the Glock booth during SHOT show, he always had a smile and never rushed those wanting to talk with him, even tho the line to see him seemed a mile long.

I have no doubt that your experiences are true--However---Canada has draconian gunlaws--no 2nd amendment, etc.
While I miss the south, I will be buried here in Arizona; God's country for gun owners, shooters and hunters.

Always good to see prior mbrs return! Hopefully, we will again become the premier milsurp go to forum. This was accomplished due to our members who are willing to share their knowledge in posts and tutorials--

Great! I enjoy the efforts of Ian and Karl both at Forgotten Weapons and their 2 gun action challenge matches. Both seem very competent with firearms and well versed in our local history here in Arizona.

Re: Remington

Have heard from several sources that Rem QC has gone south for some time now-- But I took a chance and bought a RP9 due mostly to the $100 rebate Rem offered a few months ago--shortly after I submitted paperwork for the rebate, heard Rem filed for bankruptcy and figured my rebate was long gone--Not ...

Rob--Hoping/praying for your good friend. We lose our close friends and beloved dogs too soon, it seems as I get older--
Spring is on its way, and nothing helps the heart and mind better than a day at the range w/good friends. Trusting the Scotsman will join u soon.

Re: Trump Moves to Ban Bump Stocks

I hate to see this, also. Another "feel-good" idea that will actually have no positive impact on the crazies that commit such crimes as mass killings. Every time we (law-abiding gun owners) compromise, we lose something, and the "anti freedom/anti-gun" people gain-- I for one wonder why mass shootin...
