Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

I like it. Any decent surplus rifle you can get for $220 in today's market
seems like a good deal to me.

Liberty Tree sometimes has M38 stocks, I just checked and at the moment just M91 and M91 cav. carbine stocks :/
That's a good source for stocks. I had forgotten about them.

Both.
Musketry was a very thoroughly taught skill back then. Indoor training at 25 yds was the place all were trained in he basics, then they graduated to the .303 for final finishing at longer rages.
That's interesting, I had no idea they did that. It looks like a fun rifle and cheap to shoot.

I didn't know these existed. Did they use these for training soldiers or some type of
youth training?

Re: 6.5 Model 91/38

I'm guessing a lot of these rifles have been thrown away through the years.
The parts you need can be had. If you need a stock though, that is different.

I saw in another video the claws that they have. They are huge. One swipe at
your face and they would take it off.

I will pass on that deal. With deals like that, who needs to wait
for sales.

Is it shootable? If not, what did they leave out so it couldn't shoot?

Re: 1961 East German Makarov

I've got two, one with a better finish than the other. That good one I save, the other I shoot. I bought the lesser finish one from a guy on a forum. Someone had painted it with some type of black paint. I stripped it off, had a pretty good finish underneath. The things just don't fail. It is one of...

I've got one 98/22, lovely rifle. They also have a very cool history.
It should be a good shooter.

These were great when you could buy that cheap surplus ammo. We would shoot box
after box after cheap box. Those days are gone forever. I've got to quit living in the
past. LOL

Re: Model 95 Bolt

I think I've got around 250 rounds of the Nazi marked ammo. You want plenty of padding
when firing that stuff. It is like shouldering a small cannon. I'm not sure I'll ever shoot
'any more of it.

Re: Canadian surplus

Will they surplus those rifles, put them in storage, or destroy them like the U.N. likes
everyone to do?
