Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Lee Enfield no1 mk3 rebuild & sight issue

It looks like a classic case of the windage adjustable sight being "fragile". Is the blade lose on the screw or the screw loose in the arm? Or both? To me, from the pics it seems the blade may be lose on the threaded block. If so you could carefully strip & solder, braze or silver solder to "reweld"...

Re: Lee Enfield no1 mk3 rebuild & sight issue

Where EXACTLY is this wobble?
Is it at the pivot in the barrel mounting block or the blade wobbles n the arm?

Re: Whoda thunk I'd neeed this, (French dingus) but I do!

Yes! Bocce is the Italian version of "Boule", which has several variants, some you can run 3 steps & throw, some have a shorter court & you must have both feet on the ground. I played the Southern French version (Petanque) with my friends in Northern France, where they called it "Boule(s)". :o It ge...

Whoda thunk I'd neeed this, (French dingus) but I do!

I would never have admitted to "needing" a combination 2X 13 score counting, hyper magnetic, 1 metre rule with a key ring on a long string, but apparently I do!
I have to salute the ingenuity of our French comrades!

SCAMMER alert!

If you see an ad for metric FAL magazines from someone who my be (or may be pretending to be) ""Patrick Floyd" (no other info, sorry), who is using any of these images (but particularly the arrowed one) these are NOT his magazines. I honestly don't know if he has ANY magazines! These images are of M...

Re: metal turned brown cleanup

If it was in the white then I have a solution (literally) for you. Completely dismantle it. degrease thoroughly. fill a suitable sized container with a 1:1 mix of Evap-o-rust & tap water. Drop all the parts in. Let sit overnight, or until completely rust free. If longer than overnight stir or swirl ...

Re: metal turned brown cleanup

Above my pay grade, antiques I am very limited in knowledge of.
If it were mine I'd oil it, let the oil sit for a few days, wipe thoroughly to remove excess oil & rust, then call it "stabilized"!

Re: Anyone use the addley precision scope mount

The screw holes align with the rear sight left side pivot pin hole & the ejector screw hole! Longer screws are provided & the rear one goes from the inside so the rear sight pivot pin hole is un-threaded! I have not used one, but I have a couple of friends who have & they both are really enthusiasti...
