Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Has anyone ever

I'd check if its the " 10 " or the " 10 A " for 38! I know it sounds picky but there is a significant difference between the 2! The 10 A has " No jiggle ", but the 10 has it. I have several of each & the difference in bullet tip motion is notable! Now that may be significant for the Welby, even if i...

Re: Stuck Case

Force a bronze bore brush of a suitable size into the rear of the stuck case. DO NOT TURN it just push. Now smack the "T handle" of the cleaning rod sticking out a couple of times.

Re: my first table at gun show

I do not believe the forum charges a dime for anything sold in the For Sale section, unlike GunBroker or a gun show
That is correct the site provides the marketplace as a service for our member's.

Re: USAF Museum Virtual Tour

Max efficient cruise was 0.4 Lb/Hr X 4 of course! Higher power settings sucked down way more!

Re: USAF Museum Virtual Tour

There was no charge for the tour, but they were charging for demo flights. There were several "pay scales" the highest being to ride in the bombardier's position.
I don't begrudge the charges even though they are high, it takes a lot to keep them flying & someone has to pay the bills.

Re: USAF Museum Virtual Tour

Awesome, thank you.
The interface takes a little getting used to at first, but its good.
I got errors whenever I tried to access the (movie I guess) content or sound.

Re: Sinking of the Coventry

I remember an event caused by RAF & USAF bombing claims & rivalry some years back in the mid 70's. There was an RAF base on one end of a road & a USAF base on the other they were probably 15 miles apart in a rural area. The problem was the ONLY off base boozer was roughly 1/2 way between them! The 2...

Re: Sinking of the Coventry

Its always a question of balancing the triangle . No matter if its a AFV, a Destroyer an aircraft, or a Battleship. Armor<>speed & maneuverability<>firepower . "Destroyer" was originally a "Submarine Destroyer", so preferences went to Speed & maneuverability. Get to the sub, out maneuver the sub, si...

Re: Sinking of the Coventry

a "Sister Ship" is usually an identically designed & built version of a type.(From the same batch probably) The later Type 42s had a Lynx helicopter on board. The Sheffield caught on fire and sank, at least its aluminum did. The Sheffield's problem was its Magnesium/Aluminum alloy armor. If you get ...
