It was very much experimental. Basically the tempered parts like the rear spring, took the creme blue better & the unhardened preferred the B/C wet product. But there were exceptions. UPDATED. Stripped down & cleaned thoroughly. De-greased. Soaked overnight in "Evap-o-Rust", polished with Green ScotchBrite (which I now use instead of 0000 steel wool) & re-blued. I used both the B/C True Blue & the G96 Creme Blue as different metals seemed to prefer different brands. I think I did...

Worth the effort IMO.
I went with a couple of different cold blues as they all seem to work with some alloys better than others.

Well here we go. Sight stripped down degreased & having a bath in Evap-o-rust, probably an overnight soak. Some parts will get the B/C liquid & some others the G96 creme depending on what exactly is being blued. Some parts have in the white areas with scales so they'll get blued then buffed till the...
