Re: I picked up a rally nice No4MK2

No cartouches or a serial number on the wood and no sanding of the wood that I can see. Matching numbers on the metal and the bolt head is stamped with a 1.

I picked up a rally nice No4MK2

I gave $425.00 for it from a 93 YO RAF WWII vet. It used to be his hi-power comp rifle back in the late 60's before his eyes went south. All he shoots now are ,22LR pistols with red dots mounted on them.

Re: 1917 Eddy Stone

A friend told me of a near-by pawn shop that has a 1917 for sale, didn't know the manufacturer, but thought they wanted $500 for it. He wasn't sure if the ears were ground or if it was untouched. If in original condition, is that a good price? I wouldn't pay that much as a nice military stock would...

A decent priced .312 bullet to buy...........

Match kings are probably the best but too expensive for steel plate shooting @ 200 and I don't shoot at paper. I can get Hornady 150 SP but really want some 174 FMJ. Rifle is a No4 MK2.

Thanks,

Ammo is getting scarce.................

Try to find bulk 5.56 anywhere besides ctd, the biggest rip-offs in the industry. Just like 2013, people are not prepared during a crisis and the proffiteers are preying on the weak.

Phantom 778 wrote: Sat Feb 29, 2020 7:28 am If I may ask, what makes this rifle a "5 Line?" Everything I have read suggests the mosin was manufactured as a 3-Line rifle. Was there a 5 line version?
5 lines of text between the Tula star and the 1928 date.

Re: CZ 52 problem??????????????

The first thing I did when I got the pistol home, I almost launched a pencil with the de cocker. No way will I ever be pointing it my way while loaded. Still a good reminder for people who don't know about the hazard with the safety.

Thank you Tommy for the information, very helpful. Yes, the serial # prefix is PF and is stamped No4 MK2 (F) 10/53 PF 372xxx on the receiver.

My No4 Enfield rifles....................

I have two, a 1943 BSA MK I rifle with matching receiver, bolt and magazine and a 1953 BSA (I believe) MK II all matching rifle in like new condition. I just picked up the MK II from a 93 Y.O. WWII British RAF pilot who used it in Hi-power matches until his age and health said to stop back in 2010. ...

I have a bubba'ed 1942 Belgium made pistol that I really like, even with the stupid rib attached to the slide. Ex bullseye center fire pistol from the 1970's.
