Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: M1 Garand

Books are always a good first step. Even asking questions can save you thousands of dollars over the long run.
Good luck,

Re: New to me M59/66A1

Numrich has the yugo slings. Thay also sell them as a set with tge cleaning kit and ammo pouch. I believe liberty tree also has slings. I can't say they are tge best shooters, in fact i know a guy with vast experience in all makes of sks guns. And the yugo m59/66 would be his last choice. :D Its the...

Re: Yugo SKS 59/66 A1 Cleaning Rod

I never use the cleaning rods in any of my SKS carbines (Yugo, Chinese & Russian), they are more trouble than what its worth to assemble! For me , it's more about having all the accesories. When i clesn my ,30 cal rifles, wether commie or USGI i use an East German ak 47 cleaning kit. In fact i have...

Re: US Model 1917 Question

No.. Each maker had no problem making enough parts for their own guns.
Now a ww2 reissue can be a total mixmaster.
Remember they hed been building pattern 1914s for the British, so they knew what they were doing.

I can't get to my book, but the distance from closet to furthist shot were under 100yrds. The scope was not properly sighted in, but at the distance shot it was not a factor/.

Re: JFK

Being gun guys you all should appreciate this. "JFK: Beyound the magic bullet." Has a great recreation of the assasination down to rifle and ammo. I saw it back in 04 when it first aired. It was so good i was watching it a couple times a year. I really believe they nailed it. But then i was never a ...

Re: Gun show score

Great score. My best ever was in 2010. I had literally won the lottery. Five grand. I got a new laptop, the old one could not be fixed. I went to the gun show with 600 bucks,i. I paid our way in, mom and my brother. Used change from my 20, five bucks to buy a nos m1 canvas sling. Guy was wandering t...

Re: m 1917 eddystone

I hadn't thought to name mine. Though i have named 2 of my M1s, donna and laura. And my 2 aks, nadia and mikomi. They are named after my friend nadia in kiev. I let her pick which got which. Her given name went to the norinco folder. Andcher screen name , mikomi , went to the poly tech legend. I wil...

Re: m 1917 eddystone

Ditto on liking the rifle.
But i gotta dispute the weight issue. They weigh the same as the M1.
I think its just the extra 2 inches of barrel that throws things off.
