Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: OWS "sporter" M48

I did the math, for a friend. :) I was more interested in the mod 98s. Stocks while not any cheaper are more available. A death in the family will have things, moneywise, tight for the foreseeable future. But when things are good again I want another Yugoslavian m48, or 24/47 etc. But I want a nice ...

Re: OWS "sporter" M48

Are you trying to get me in trouble?
I really don't need another project right now.
But if I do I will post a review. :)

Re: M1 Garand and me, both from 1955

Very nice.
In 1998 I got my "one in a lifetime M1". Well that was the policy until 1999.
Mine was a 2,46 million Springfield service grade that had been through Toole in the month and year I was born.
It shoots far better than I am capable of doing.

Re: Hello from St. Louis

Welcome aboard.
I like the oddball stuff as well. Tokarevs, and Brooks, not m1935s. :)
French 32 long is easier to load now as Stienel and one other company are making new bras and loaded rounds.

Very nice work. If I hadn't seen your post I wouldn't have know it was repaired. I will keep Jerry in mind if I ever have need of a holster repair.

Re: Sad day because of G33/40

Late to the party, I found this site late last year while looking for something to restore my dou 43 mod 98..
They are not cheap , so I passed for now.
But being in Slovenia at least shipping will be a little cheaper.

Re: Carcano Bolt Will Not Disassemble

More gunzilla, perhaps boiling and taps with a hammer. Taps not strikes. 😁
If I recall the detent is held in place by a pin, perhaps you can tap that out and get some more oil in there.
I have not used gunzilla, but have used pb parts blaster with good results.. kroil is also said to be excellent.

Re: Help Identifying Carcano

I believe Oldrifles has it covered. The line "assembly plant somewhere in Germany " caught my eye. As stated they weren't made nor likely assembled in Germany. But the word "assembly" could mean something else. Perhaps "assembly area"? Men, arms and equipment would be staged in "assembly areas" As t...

Re: SAD NEWS

ArkSlim, I read your post around when you posted it. I didn't have anything to offer other than good hopes. I felt confident and secure in my rights here stateside and in Florida. My old state of Virginia is going anti-gun bigtime. Correction the Democrats who took over have gone insane after years ...

Re: Carcano Bolt Will Not Disassemble

It definitely looks like rust. I had to go to YouTube as it's been years since I took my m91 carcano bolt apart. I don't recall that I removed the nut on the rear. I recall just removing the cocking piece and then the rest of the parts. But I could be wrong. Or the bolt wasn't put together right whe...

Re: Pawn Shop find 1917 DWM Luger

Very nice. Way better condition than my DWM 1914 mixmaster.
A couple of leather needles and a spool of waxed cotton thread will take care of the holster.

Empire Arms puts up their past sales lists for reference

https://www.empirearms.com/newstuff.htm Probably could have worded the title better. Yeah got a note in their email with the above link to the past six years of their for sale listings. With sale prices and pictures. The pictures are cool as they generally show both sides and any markings all in one...
